Kalam summons Jharkhand Governor

New Delhi, March 3
In a precedent-setting and extraordinary move, President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam has summoned Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi for discussions in the wake of the latter’s controversial decision to install the UPA government in Ranchi leading to vehement Opposition accusation that the constitutional head had turned a “supari killer” in murdering democracy.

Mounting pressure on the UPA government, the NDA today paraded 41 MLAs from Jharkhand to prove its majority in the 81-member Assembly before President APJ Abdul Kalam, who assured them that he will do whatever he can after his meeting with Governor Sibtey Razi tomorrow.

CLP to decide Haryana CM today
New Delhi, March 3
The Congress will tomorrow announce the name of new Haryana Chief Minister. A meeting of the Congress Legislature Party has been called tomorrow at 4 pm. The meeting, which will be held in the Parliament annexe here, is expected to formally elect the new leader.

The 19th descendants of Sai Mian Mir, the Muslim seer who laid the foundation stone of the Golden Temple and those of Nabi Khan Ghani Khan who had once saved the life of Guru Gobind Singh, were denied 'siropa' by the SGPC during their visit here today.
