Repoll at 368 booths in Bihar, Jharkhand today

New Delhi, February 5
The Election Commission today ordered repoll at six polling booths in Haryana and over 350 polling booths in Bihar and Jharkhand, which witnessed large-scale electoral malpractices during the first phase of polling.

EC sources said the repoll would be held tomorrow at 347 polling stations in Bihar and 21 polling booths in Jharkhand and on February 23 at six polling stations in Faridabad and Jhajjar districts of Haryana.

The commission has also decided to conduct polling tomorrow at five stations in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand, where polling was adjourned on February 3.

Nine candidates held in Bihar

Patna, February 5
In compliance with a high court order, the police today arrested nine candidates contesting in the third phase of polling in Bihar.

The candidates, belonging to the CPI (ML), Samajwadi Party (SP) and BSP, were arrested when they turned up before returning officers to complete formalities on nomination papers. — UNI
