Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Punjab. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Departures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed little. Departures: They were below normal in Punjab, appreciably above normal in west Rajasthan, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.8C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 12: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
