Light and sound show on Sahibzadas

The first of its kind light and sound show depicting the sacrifice of Guru Gobind Singh and his Sahibzadas was held at Anaj Mandi in Chamkaur Sahib, about 25 km from Ropar, in connection with the 300th martyrdom year of the Sahibzadas. The show which was held last night continued for about two hours and described the life of Guru Gobind Singh and different battles against Muslim rulers.

SSAA not to get textbooks printed by board

The Sarv Sikhiyaa Abhiyaan Authority (SSAA), Punjab will not get its textbooks printed by the Punjab School Education Board. This decision of the SSAA will not just intensify the ongoing tussle between the Education Department and the board but is also likely to lead to duplication of work and subsequent wasteful expenditure.

Youth festival of Khalsa colleges to start today
