Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dharamsala 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal and Batote 5 each, Pahalgam 4, Kupwara, Quazigund and Srinagar 3 each and Katra 2 and Punjab: Amritsar 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Punjab and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 8.6°C recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of December 2: Rain or snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Haryana and Punjab and at isolated places in Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain/snow is likely in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 2: Generally cloudy sky with possibility of thundry development/light rain in some areas. Mist/fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 12°C.
