Govt rules out rollback in LPG prices

New Delhi, November 16
The Government today ruled out any rollback in prices of LPG and said that it will continue to go up by Rs 5 per cylinder as was announced by the Government recently.

“On November 4, the government decided that petrol will be charged at import parity prices and diesel, LPG and kerosene prices will be administered by the government. As of now the decision to increase LPG prices every month stands”, Petroleum Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar told newspersons here.

The government had announced a hike of LPG prices by Rs 20 per cylinder and said that it would be increased by Rs 5 per month for 26 months to cover losses.
