Rainfall: Rain or snow has been reported at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Haryana and at isolated places in Punjab, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Rania 4 and Ayanagar, Delhi Ridge and New Delhi (Safdarjung) 1 each and West Rajasthan: Sriganganagar 1.

Temperature: past 24 hours change: maximum temperatures changed a little. Departure: they were appreciably below normal in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, below normal in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 34.2C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: minimum temperatures rose in Uttaranchal and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: they were below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 8.6C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 31: rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
