Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Rajasthan: Kota 2; and Uttar Pradesh: Allahabad 3.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was largely below normal in Haryana and Punjab, appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, below normal in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and below normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 41.1 0C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 12, 2004: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Punjab and Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorms/ thunderstorms are likely in the rest of the region.
