Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Shimla and Sundernagar 1 each and Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little. Departure: This was markedly above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 46.6°C recorded at Jhalawar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 3: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Punjab. Isolated duststorms or thunderstorms are likely in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 3: Mainly clear sky. Likely to become partly cloudy during evening/night with possibility of duststorms or thunderstorms accompanied with squall in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 42°C.
