Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Haryana, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departures: These were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 46.°C, recorded at Jhalawar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 2: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and isolated places in Uttaranchal. Isolated duststorms or thunderstorms are likely in the rest region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 2: Mainly clear sky with the possibility of duststorms or thunderstorms accompanied by squall in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 41°C.
