Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).
