Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers occurred at many places in Haryana, at a few places in East Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Delhi (Ayanagar) 4, New Delhi (Palam) 3, Hisar 2 and Jhajjar, New Delhi (Ridge) and Sonipat 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 1, East Rajasthan: Pilani 1, West Rajasthan: Churu 1 and East Uttar Pradesh: Varanasi 3.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana, Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast (valid until the morning of May 28): Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh. Duststorms, thunderstorm likely in Rajasthan.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood (valid until the morning of May 28): Partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 37°C.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi (forecast valid until the morning of May 28): Sky will be partly cloudy. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 kmph is likely at isolated places.
