Report upsets Tohra’s widow
Tribune News Service

Chandigarh, May 10
Ms Joginder Kaur, wife of Gurcharan Singh Tohra, continues to be in a state of shock since yesterday evening.

She refused to meet any journalist today. Her daughter, Ms Kuldeep Kaur, said her mother had been virtually physically destablised by an interview telecast by a "pro-Congress" television channel. According to the channel, Ms Joginder Kaur has suspected that there was conspiracy behind Jathedar Tohra's death.

Ms Kuldeep Kaur said instead of ordering the probe into his father's death, Capt Amarinder Singh, should order inquiry to expose those who conspired to " record the interview of her mother yesterday".

Talking to The Tribune team at Tohra village today, Ms Kuldeep Kaur said, "Some big political mischief has been played by the channel team with our family and we are preparing to take action against the channel".

Commenting on the inquiry ordered by the Chief Minister, Ms Kuldeep Kaur said, "Our family has not sought any inquiry regarding Gurcharan Singh Tohra's death. Neither we have submitted any complaint against anyone. We do not need the support of the Chief Minister in this regard". There were several other cases pending with the government and why such promptness was not being shown to get those probed, she asked.

Talking about an advertisement published in newspaper, Ms Joginder Kaur said she did not talk to Mr Paramjit Singh Sarna, an Akali leader from Delhi. By getting the advertisement published, Mr Sarna had tried to "dishonour" our family, she said." I would send legal notice to Mr Sarna and the TV channel", she asserted.
