Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Barsar (Himachal Pradesh) recorded 1 cm of rainfall.

Temperatures: Past 24-hour change: Maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana and east Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.4°C recorded at Dholpur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 24: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmr, Punjab and Uttaranchal. Duststorms/thunderstorms are likely at a few places in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 24: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of duststorm/thunderstorm accompanied with squall in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 37°C.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi: forecast valid until the morning of April 24: Sky will be partly cloudy. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 km.p.h is likely at isolated places.
