Past hours change: Maximum temperatures fell markedly in west Rajasthan, fell appreciably in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and East Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: These were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal Punjab and east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 44.4°C recorded at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh).
