New Delhi, April 18
The Delhi Police Crime Branch today said it had arrested one Bunny Singh Gautam, a key accused in the CBSE Pre-Medical Test paper leak case, from the Janak Puri area of West Delhi.

Gautam, an assistant with a pathology laboratory in New Friends Colony for the past five years, was named in the FIR and is accused of playing the role of a coordinator in the racket. He had been in touch with racket kingpin Ranjit Verma for some time.

The police said Gautam was allegedly the one who approached the parents of the students offering them question papers for amounts ranging between Rs 7 and 10 lakh.

Gautam had allegedly also placed an advertisement in newspapers in Ganganagar, Rajasthan, in response to which parents of at least five students approached the racketeers for the question papers.

Interrogation of Gautam is on to get information about the whereabouts of Ranjit Verma and his brother.
