DC launches Rs 3,139 cr credit plan
Ludhiana, April 8
The Deputy Commissioner, Mr Anurag Verma, today launched the annual credit plan pegged at Rs 3,139 crore for the district. Addressing a meeting held at Bachat Bhavan here, Mr Verma said this year the credit plan had been increased by 13 per cent.

Mr Sukhdev Singh, whose infant had died due to the alleged “negligence of a doctor couple here recently, has alleged that he was being threatened by some unidentified persons. Fearing danger to his life, Sukhdev Singh, yesterday lodged a formal complaint in police station division number 8.

Labourer held on murder charge

Ludhiana, April 8 The local police has solved the murder case of a migrant labourer, Mansa Devi, with the arrest of Anil Kumar, a labourer. The woman was murdered on April 5 due to enmity. The DSP, Mr R.K. Bakshi, and the SHO, Focal Point, Mr Surinder Mohan, told mediapersons this evening that the accused strangled her at her residence. The DSP, Mr R.K. The kindergarten section of Kundan Vidya Mandir looked colourful with little ones dressed up in mesmerising attires during a fancy dress competition held here today.
