Sister Nirmala looted in Jharkhand

Medininagar (Jharkhand), February 21
The Superior-General of Missionaries of Charity (MC) Sister Nirmala was among a number of people looted by a gang of robbers near Amjharia Ghati in Latehar district today.

District Superintendent of Police Maninder Singh Bhatia said a group of more than 20 robbers went on a looting spree on the Medininagar-Ranchi road near Amjharia Ghati, under Chandua police station. They stopped dozens of buses, cars and two wheelers in the morning and looted people.

Sister Nirmala, who was on a two-day visit to Palamu district in connection with MC functions, was in a vehicle along with five others. — PTI
