Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 6, Solangnala 5, Bhuntar 2 and Bangana, Nadaun, Pandoh, Rampurbushahar and Sujanpurtira 1 each and Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal 3, Quazigund 2 and Srinagar 1.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, fell in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 9.0°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 21: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 21: Mainly clear sky. Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 12°C.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of February 21: Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
