per cent DA merged with basic pay in Punjab

The Chief Minister, Capt Amarinder
Singh, today announced that 50 per cent dearness allowance of its
employees would be merged with the basic pay and the government would
not reduce the facilities being provided to its employees.

Army men killed in Kashmir blast
Srinagar, February 5
At least four Army personnel were
killed and five others wounded when their vehicle was blown up in an
improvised explosive device blast today. The troops, on receiving a
specific information, left the Khanabal 6 am for conducting searches in
a village near Pahalgam, about 100 km from here, in south Kashmir.
Musharraf
pardons Khan
Islamabad, February 5
Acting on a recommendation of the
Pakistan Cabinet, President Pervez Musharraf today granted pardon to Dr
Abdul Qadeer Khan, the father of the country’s nuclear bomb, a day
after he publicly admitted leaking sensitive nuclear know-how to Iran,
Libya and North Korea, a local TV channel has reported.
