CM pays only lip service to statehood issue: BJP

Stumped by Sheila Dikshit’s offensive on the issue of securing statehood to the NCT of Delhi, the BJP today responded by dubbing the Chief Minister’s protestations as mere ‘lip service’ to ostensibly “divert the attention of the people of Delhi from other important issues”.

Kapil to give cash scholarship

Former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev, in a spontaneous gesture, announced a cash scholarship of Rs 1,000 per month for one year to the Player of the Tournament in the next edition of the Gyan Bharati Young Achievers Under-13 Cricket Tournament, the inaugural edition of which, sponsored by Aviva, was played in a two-day format.
