Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in east Uttar Pradesh, rose in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and changed little elsewhere. They were markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, above normal in West Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 3.7°C recorded at Varanasi.

Forecast valid until the morning of January 11: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 11: Partly cloudy sky. Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 7°C.
