CBI registers case against Judeo, three others

New Delhi, December 21
A month after it began probe into the cash-on-camera scam the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday registered a case against former Union Minister Dilip Singh Judeo and three others for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 9 lakh.

Indian soldiers killed nine rebels fleeing Bhutan in gunbattles as the Himalayan kingdom’s military offensive against the anti-India militants turned a week old today, officials said here. Duty Magistrate Sat Pal today remanded Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi in police custody till December 24 in the human trafficking case registered against him by the Patiala police on September 19.

Punjab offers land to liquor baron at throwaway price

A 100 to 125 per cent increase in real estate prices in Chandigarh and the surrounding areas notwithstanding, the Punjab Government is all set to allot 50 acres of prime land to the company of a liquor baron at a throwaway price of Rs 40 lakh an acre in the Industrial Focal Point, Mohali.
