Jammu, December 7
The Vigilance Organisation has arrested two persons in connection with a question paper scam regarding the entrance test for the MD course in the medical college. A sum of Rs 14 lakh, for which the question papers were sold, has been recovered.

A spokesman for the Vigilance Organisation said two SSPs yesterday received information that some doctors appearing in the MD entrance, scheduled to be held today, had paid Rs 4 lakh each to procure copies of the question paper for clinical and non-clinical subjects at Srinagar.

During investigations, it was discovered that at least 17 questions in today’s paper were those which were leaked yesterday.

The Vigilance Organisation arrested two persons, Shahnaz Malik, a retired Inspector of police, and Suleman Malik, an MBBS dropout.

A teacher of Srinagar is said to be the kingpin of the racket. The arrested persons led the Vigilance party to his house where Rs 14.85 lakh was recovered and documents were seized.
