Capital breathes easy with no fresh dengue cases
New Delhi, October 12
Local authorities today heaved a sigh of relief with no fresh cases of dengue being reported in the Capital. Around 3,700 houses were sprayed and mosquito-breeding larvae were found in 354 dwelling units. However, only 150 house owners were challaned.

A minor girl was allegedly abducted and gang raped by five youths for four days in a field at Chichhrana village under the Baroda police station of Gohana subdivision in this district.

Had the Ghaziabad police acted with a wee bit of alacrity, the kidnappers of the son of a fertiliser factory owner in Shastri Nagar could have been nabbed. The police control room was informed within 10 minutes of the incident.

Two armed youths, Naresh and Dinesh, residents of Ahulana and Chiri villages, respectively, were apprehended by the residents while trying to loot the passengers of a bus at Mahipur village, about 15 km from her last night.

Six inter-state  robbers nabbed,  45 cases solved

With the arrest of six desperate inter-state robbers, including two proclaimed offenders after a brief encounter, the South-West district police today claimed to have solved more than 45 cases of attempt to murder, rape, robbery, snatching and auto theft.
