Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.
Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir and east Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 40.3°C recorded at Kota AP (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Punjab, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, above normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 12.8°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 13: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 13: Mainly clear sky. Maximum and Minimum temperatures will be around 33°C and 19°C respectively.
