VB raids house of Badal’s manager

Bathinda, October 11
A Vigilance team, led by Mr Baljinder Singh Grewal, SSP, Bathinda Range, today carried out a search of the house of Mr Harbans Lal, who was working as manager at a petrol station owned by family members of a former Punjab Chief Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal President, Mr Parkash Singh Badal. Mr Harbans Singh’s house is situated at Killianwali village, 40 km from here. The raid was connected late the evening.

Official sources said so far a measurement of the house was carried out by the Vigilance team which included some building technical experts to assess its value. Tomorrow, a search will be carried out at a rice mill and a cold store owned by Mr Harbans Lal.

Mr Grewal, when contacted, declined to disclose anything.
