Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Punjab and west Rajasthan and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in Uttaranchal. The chief amounts of rainfall in cms are: Haryana: Hissar 2 and Sirsa 1; Himachal Pradesh: Choura 2 and Chamba and Khairi 1 each; Jammu and Kashmir: Patti 3, Basoli 2 and Bhoond 1; Punjab: Bathinda 6, Madhopur and Shahpur Kandi 3 each and Ranjit Sagar Dam 2; east Rajasthan: Bharwargarh 1; west Rajasthan: Suratgarh and Sriganganagar 1 each; and east Uttar Pradesh: Bhinga 7, Sultanpur 6, Lucknow A.P. 3, Auraiya, Bani and Kakrahi 2 each and Banda, Chillaghat, Hanumansetu, Kakardharighat, Kanpur, Rae Bareli and Regoli 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of October 1: Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, at a few places in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 1: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development in some areas.
