Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Punjab and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Jammu and Kashmir — Jammu 5, Katra 4, Banihal and Patti 3 each, Batote, Basoli, Quazigund and Srinagar 2 each and Pahalgam 1; Punjab — Shahpur Kandi 4, Ranjitsagar Dam 3 and Madhpur 1; east Rajasthan — Nimbahera 4, Didwana, Gogunda, Kotputli, Matri Kundia and Moral Sagar 3 each, Agucha, Bassi, Gangapur city, Kota AP, Moral Dam and Rashmi 2 each and Bari Sadri, Choti Sadri, Gulabpura, Jagpura, Lalsot, Newai, Nainwa, Thanagazi and Talera 1 each; west Rajasthan — Sujangarh 1; east Uttar Pradesh — Kakrahi 11, Basti 9, Ghazipur, Mirzapur and Regoli 7 each, Mukhlispur 6, Balrampur, Chandradeepghat, Hanumansetu and Turtipar 5 each, Gorakhpur 4, Elginbridge, Palliakalan, Shardanagar and Varanasi A.P. 2 each and Allahabad, Bhinga and Bansi 1 each; west Uttar Pradesh — Bareilly 7 and Mohana 2 and Uttaranchal — Banbasa 17, Mukteshwar 7, Uttarkashi 5, Haripur 3, Dehradun 2 and Marora and Pantnagar 1 each.
