CBI may use lie-detector test on Tripathi New Delhi, September 25 “If we find him not responding to the crucial questions or trying to misguide us, we will carry out the lie-detector test,” CBI sources said here. Tripathi, who deserted the Bahujan Samaj Party and joined the Samajwadi Party ahead of the confidence vote of Mr Mulayam Singh Yadav in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, was brought here from Lucknow yesterday. He has been remanded in CBI custody by a Lucknow court till September 30. About the possibility of Tripathi’s wife Madhumani’s arrest, the sources said it would depend on the disclosures made by the former minister. |
