The Mukut Mithi-led Congress government in Arunachal Pradesh was today voted out of power through voice vote.

The motion was put to vote by Speaker Tamiyo Taga after a marathon debate which lasted nearly eight hours.

The new United Democratic Front (UDF) government, headed by Gegong Apang, is expected to take the oath tomorrow.

Earlier, launching a scathing attack on the UDF, outgoing Chief Minister Mukut Mithi claimed in the Assembly that the NSCN(I-M) had pumped in Rs 5 crore to topple his government. — UNI
