Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have been reported at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in west Uttar Pradesh. The chief amounts of rainfall in mm are: Haryana: Kalka 14, Bhiwani 5, Guhla and Naraingarh 4 each, Nilokheri and Palwal 2 each and Dadri Toye, Hodal, Jhajjar 1 each; Himachal Pradesh: Hamirpur and Pandoh 2 each and Bangana, Chouraha, Kahu, Kandaghat and Surgani 1 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Bhoond and Jammu 5 each, Basoli 3 and Kukernag and Patti 2 each; Punjab: Khanna and Shahpur Kandi 2 each and R.S. Dam Site 1, East Rajasthan: Sompinkupwair 4, Kanba 3, Aspur, Dungarpur, Ganeshpur and Vejja 2 each and Amer, Gogunda, Mahuwa, Pilani, Radiadam and Sabla 1 each; east Uttar Pradesh: Bhinga 3, Balrampur, Kakardharighat and Katerniaghat 2 each and Basti 1; and Uttaranchal: Hardwar 3 and Dehra Dun and Pantnagar 2 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of August 1: Rain or thundershowers are likely at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, north Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in the rest of the region.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely in Himachal Pradesh, north Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the next 48 hours.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 1: Mainly cloudy sky with a few spells of rain or thundershowers.
