Noor Fatima to be shifted to ward today Bangalore, July 20
Noor, who travelled along with her parents Nadeem Sajjad and Tayyaba Sajjad to India for the crucial surgery to plug two holes in the heart, is responding “positively” to the treatment, hospital sources said today. The two-and-a-half-year-old Noor, who had been missing her parents during the past five days as she was confined to the ICU, would now be with them constantly till she is discharged from the hospital in about five days’ time. Congress MP Margaret Alva called on her on behalf of Congress President Sonia Gandhi. The latter had sent a book on India and a greeting card wishing Noor speedy recovery. Though she missed her parents, Noor has become fond of the nurses who have been taking care of her and one of them fed her milk yesterday. “She called me Mama and nodded when we asked if she was eager to meet her older brother and sister,” Tayyaba had told newspersons yesterday. She said the doctors were slowly reducing the dosage of drugs. Her parents had been seeing their child only twice during the specified morning and evening hours.
