London, July 18
British Government’s Defence Adviser David Kelly, suspected to be a source behind BBC’s report that the Blair government had “sexed up” its dossier on Iraq’s weapon capabilities, was today found dead, four days after he was grilled by the Foreign Affairs Committee on the issue.

The body of 59-year-old Kelly, who was missing since yesterday, was found in a wooded area at Harrowdown Hill, 8 km from his house in Oxfordshire. — PTI

BBC defence correspondent Andrew Gilligan poses for photographers

BBC defence correspondent Andrew Gilligan poses for photographers outside Millbank studios in central London on Thursday. A row between the British government and the BBC over Iraq turned nasty on Thursday when politicians accused Gilligan of changing his story whilst giving evidence during a two-hour private committee session. Gilligan responded by saying he was the victim of a witchhunt orchestrated by a committee made up largely of members of
the ruling Labour party.
