Muslim board to seek Kalyan’s examination
To move Liberhan panel

New Delhi, June 21
A day after former UP Chief Minister Kalyan Singh alleged that the Babri Masjid had been demolished under the direction of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani and other top Sangh Parivar leaders who were “part of a conspiracy”, All-India Muslim Personnel Law Board (AIMPLB) said today that it would move an application before the Liberhan Commission seeking Kalyan Singh’s examination.

“An application will be moved before the Liberhan Commission that Kalyan Singh be called after the former UP Chief Minister has expressed his willingness for the same,” AIMPLB senior leader and Board’s counsel in the Commission Maulana Usuf Mauchala told reporters after a meeting of its members here.

Asked when the board would decide on the proposal sent by Shankaracharya to resolve the vexed issue of Ayodhya, Mauchala said the chairman along with the Working Committee would decide on it. Asked if the board was involved in the “bargaining” with the Centre as some reports suggested, Mauchala said “there is none so ever.” PTI

Lucknow: The chairman of the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), Maulana Rabe Hasan Nadwi, said on Saturday that he had received the much-awaited formula from Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati to solve the Ayodhya issue. “I will not reveal the formula at this point, but only say that the suggestions are positive,” he told a select group of reporters at his Nadwa house.
