Rains claim life in Mumbai

Mumbai, June 20
A girl was killed in a landslide as heavy rains lashed the city for the second consecutive day today, inundating the low lying areas and partially disrupting the rail and road traffic.

Heavy rains with strong gusty winds since last night flooded the low-lying areas and disrupted the rail and road traffic during the morning peak hours.

Movement of the rail traffic and on the harbour lines were restricted for an hour between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. due to water-logging on the tracks. Until afternoon the trains were running 30 to 45 minutes behind schedule. PTI
