Naxalites blast police station Hyderabad, June 5 A group of 10 PWG naxals stormed a police station at Roddam Mandal, about 70 km from Ananthapur, and blasted it after forcing Sub-Inspector Nabi Rasool and Constable Nagaraju out and fettering them with ropes, the police said. In a letter left at the site, the ultras said their action was in retaliation to the "fake encounters" in Cuddapah district, they said. Fourteen Naxalites of various factions, including the wife of a top PWG ultra, surrendered before Warangal DIG of Police T. Krishna Prasad. Susheela, the wife of former Karimnagar district secretary A. Komariah, claimed that her "husband had been killed by police in a fake encounter".
