Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Rajasthan and changed a little elsewhere. Departures: They were markedly above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in Jammu and Kashmir.

The highest temperature in the region was 45.7°C recorded at Dholpur (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of June 2: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Punjab and Uttaranchal. Isolated dust storm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana and north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of June 2: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Dust storm/thunderstorm accompanied by squall is possible in some areas tomorrow. Maximum temperature will be around 43°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of June 2: Dust storm/thunderstorm with light rain is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 km.p.h. is likely at isolated places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
