Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Snowfall report (cm): Himachal Pradesh: Patsio 2.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours’ change: Maximum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir, rose in Punjab and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 44.4C recorded at Bahraich (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 31: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Punjab. Isolated duststorms/thunderstorms are likely in Haryana, north Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 31: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Duststorm/thunderstorm accompanied by squall is possible in some areas. Maximum temperature will be around 42°C.
