2 Dawood men deported, held

Mumbai, May 29
Two gangsters owing allegiance to underworld don Dawood Ibrahim were tonight deported from Dubai on a request by the Indian Government and were arrested by the Mumbai police on their arrival here.

Riyaz Siddiqui and Rajkumar Sharma were arrested, on their arrival at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, by a team of crime branch officials.

The officials said both gangsters were close confidants of the underworld don. Both were wanted in cases of murder, attempt to murder and other serious crimes. Courts in Mumbai had issued red-corner notices against them and these were handed over to the Interpol. PTI
