Cabinet expansion tomorrow

New Delhi, May 22
Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will expand the Union cabinet on Saturday, it was learnt tonight.

Mr Vajpayee decided to carry out the much-awaited expansion-cum-reshuffle of his Cabinet after a meeting with Mr L.K. Advani this evening.

Finance Minister Jaswant Singh and the BJP President M. Venkaiah Naidu were also present at the meeting. The PM had earlier held discussions with Mr Advani, Mr Jaswant Singh and Mr Naidu on May 19.

Sources said Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee would be inducted with a Cabinet rank. UNI
