Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in Haryana and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: They were above normal in east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region.

The highest temperature in the region was 45.2°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 18: Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the May 18 morning of : Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Strong surface winds likely during the afternoon. The maximum temperature will be around 41°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: forecast valid until the morning of May 18: Sky will be mainly clear.
