Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at many places in Uttaranchal and at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation (in cms) are: Haryana: Naraingarh 1, Himachal Pradesh: Bhang 3, Bhuntar, Nahan and Shimla 2 each and Rampurbushar 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Batote 1 and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun 2 and Tehri 1. Snowfall report (in cms) are: Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 16, Patsio 9 and Solangnala 5.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Haryana and east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana and Rajasthan, above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal and normal in Uttar Pradesh.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 9.2°C record at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 26: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 26: Mist in the morning. Mainly clear sky. Minimum temperature will be around 13C.
