Sareen, Mahajan hospitalised

Amritsar, January 25
Dr Parveen Kumar Sareen, a kidney transplant surgeon and Dr O.P. Mahajan, suspended Principal of the Government Medical College, arrested by the special investigation team (SIT) for alleged involvement in multi-crore kidney sale scam have been admitted in civil hospital by jail authorities.

According to Dr H.S. Gill, Medical Superintendent, Dr Sareen was admitted due to some diabetic or other problems, Dr Mahajan was suffering from hypertension, respiratory problems and back-ache. Dr Gill said both doctors were taken to civil hospital for check up and then referred to Guru Nanak Hospital for admission, Dr Gill said that the stay of both doctors in the hospital would depend upon their condition and treatment they undergo.
