Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly below normal in Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 0°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab) and Suratgarh (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 15: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost will occur at many places in Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in Rajasthan during the next two nights.
