Siddiqui briefs CM on probe

Amritsar, January 13
ADGP-cum-OSD, A. A. Siddiqui today briefed the Chief Minister, Punjab on the progress in the kidney sale scam probe.

According to highly informed sources, Mr Siddiqui urged Captain Amarinder Singh that Mr Rajan Gupta, IG be prevailed on to make his former personal security officer, Gurdyal Ram surrender as his name had figured in the illegal trade to organs. When contacted, Mr Rajan Gupta transferred as IG (border range) due to his alleged links with Dr P.K. Sareen, prime-accused in the scam, said that he did not know the whereabouts of Mr Gurdyal Ram. He claimed that Mr Gurdyal must be in Amritsar.
