No respite from cold in region

New Delhi, January 12
Cold day condiitons are previaling in Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Jammu and parts of west Rajasthan. Cold wave conditions are previling in Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir changed little elsewher.

Departure: They were appreciably below normal in Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Haryana, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 0.8°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of 14th: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kahsmir.Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh during the next two nights.

Forecst for Delhi and neighbour valid until the morning of 14th: Cold day with mainly clear sky. Fog till forenoon. Minimum temperature will be around 5°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi: Forecast valid until the morning of 14th: Sky will be mainly clear.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
