Pak shelling repulsed

Jammu, January 12
Indian troops effectively repulsed Pakistani shelling in Rajouri district last night, official sources said today.

“Pakistani troops targeted the Kalsian area with mortar shells yesterday without causing any damage or loss on our side. Our troops retaliated from midnight, causing damage to some bunkers on the enemy side,” they said.

However, it could not be ascertained whether there were any casualties on the Pakistani side, the sources said.

Small arms firing between two sides along the international border was reported from border outposts of Khurd, Karotna and S.H. Way in R.S. Pora sector and from Narainpur in Ramgarh sector last night. However, there was no report of any loss on the Indian side. PTI
