Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in east Rajasthan, fell in Punjab and Uttaranchal and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region.

The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.8°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 10: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be dry in the rest of the region.

Low temperature warning: Ground frost is likely at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan during the next two nights.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 10: Mainly clear sky with cold day. Fog till forenoon. Chilly surface winds likely during day time.

Minimum temperature will be around 6°C.
