Rainfall: Weather was mainly dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. Lowest temperature in the plains was 3.2°C recorded at Ludhiana.

Forecast valid until the morning of January 5: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 5: Mainly clear sky. Fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 6°C.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of January 5: Sky will be mainly clear.
