Rain fall: Weather was dry over the region. Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region.

Lowest temperature in the plains was 2.8°C recorded at Suratgarh (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid untill the morning of January 4: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Punjab and north Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 4: Mainly clear sky. Fog in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 6°C.
